White Sox Underclass Area Code Roster
The White Sox unveiled their 2016 Underclass Area Code team to represent the Midwest region at the Area Code Baseball Games in Cerritos and Long Beach, Calif., on Aug. 10-12.
Major League teams scout the Underclass Games to establish background on prospects who could develop into draft talents down the line, and the event is well-attended by prominent college baseball coaching staffs.
Prominent prospects for 2017 who participated in last year’s Area Code Underclass Games include Conner Uselton, Mitchell Stone, Royce Lewis, Brandon McCabe and Alex Scherff.
A few players to watch on this year’s White Sox underclass roster include Jarred Kelenic, Jack Perkins and Noah Naylor, the younger brother of Marlins prospect Josh Naylor.
