When Was Your Favorite MLB Team Last On The Cover Of Baseball America?
San Francisco Giants No. 1 prospect Bryce Eldridge graces the cover of our upcoming November 2024 issue of Baseball America — and it’s the first time a Giants player has been our main cover image in more than six years.
All the way back in June 2018, we featured Joey Bart as our cover subject, just days after the Giants had taken him with the No. 2 overall pick in that year’s MLB Draft.
And just last month, our Paul Skenes cover ended a Pirates cover drought that dated back even longer … the last time a Pittsburgh player was spotlighted on our cover was back in January 2017, when we featured Austin Meadows.
The longest cover drought in BA history belongs to the Colorado Rockies, who were last spotlighted in June 2016, and not far behind them are the Cleveland Guardians (November 2016) and Oakland Athletics (December 2016).
In reverse chronological order, here’s the last time each MLB team was represented on our cover. (The two main rules for this: One, the player/team had to be the most prominent image on the cover, and two, Draft Preview issues did not count, because the players had not been selected by an MLB team yet.)
