Junior Caminero is back in the big leagues.

According to multiple reports, the Rays’ top prospect is set to return to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. After making his MLB debut last September, the 21-year-old third baseman hit .276 with 13 homers for Triple-A Durham this season. Though he’s been slowed by quadriceps injuries in 2024, the No. 3 prospect in baseball has been better of late and should give the Rays a boost heading into the back half of August.

In seven big-league game last year, Caminero went 8 for 34 with a home run and seven RBIs. In Caminero’s Prospect Profile below, Geoff Pontes, J.J. Cooper and Scott Braun discuss what to expect this time around from one of the best power hitters in the minors.
