Tim Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner making a longshot bid to play pro baseball, left an Arizona Fall League game Monday with an apparent injury to his right knee.
Tebow, who signed with the Mets in September and is playing for Scottsdale in the AFL, left the game in the fourth inning, according to BA’s Bill Mitchell, who was on hand.
According to BA correspondent Adam Rubin, Tebow’s injury “does not appear serious,” but that he is still being evaluated.
Tebow is just 5-for-34 with one extra-base hit and 12 strikeouts.
