SEE IT: Touki Toussaint Dominates In The Arizona Fall League
PEORIA, Ariz. — Part of the way the Braves have bulked up their top-notch farm system over the past few years has been via trade. One pitcher acquired that way is Touki Toussaint, a first-round pick of the Diamondbacks in 2014 who was subsequently sent to Atlanta in a deal for righthander Bronson Arroyo.
Though he hasn’t put up quite the numbers he’d like over the past two seasons, Toussaint’s arm remains one of the most intriguing in a loaded system. He struck out four Salt River hitters on Saturday, and has an AFL-best eight punchouts through the first week.
In his first outing, he struck out four as part of a Braves quartet—along with Max Fried, Josh Graham and Corbin Clouse—that whiffed 16 hitters over eight innings. On Sunday, he relieved starter T.J. Zeuch and pitched the fourth and fifth innings of Peoria’s 8.1 innings of no-hit ball.
You can watch every pitch of Sunday’s outing above.
