Cubs top prospect Eloy Jimenez is known for his plus-plus power and he didn’t disappoint Monday in the Carolina League home run derby, the precusor to the league’s all-star game. With BA’s JJ Cooper on hand—and getting a great angle—Jimenez smashed a long drive that elicited comparisons to Roy Hobbs’ triumphant blast in ‘The Natural.’

All Eloy was missing was the swelling music crescendo.
