Savannah Bananas 2025 Schedule Gets Bigger
Quick quiz.
Other than MLB teams, which pro team drew the most fans in 2024?
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs drew 588,788 fans to lead all MiLB teams, but they weren’t the answer.
The answer is the Savannah Bananas, who filled minor league and major league ballparks for nearly 100 dates in 2024. While they do not announce official attendance, they drew more over one million fans, topping all MiLB teams and the Oakland A’s.
OK, the Bananas play “Banana Ball” which is baseball adjacent, if you want to quibble. But there’s no doubt that the Bananas, the Party Animals and the Firefighters are one of the best draws in baseball.
Banana Ball Is Heading To Bigger Ballparks
The Bananas’ new 2025 schedule ups the ante. The teams’ days of playing at minor league stadiums are largely behind them. Last year’s games in Houston, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Cleveland proved that Banana Ball could fill big league ballparks.
In 2025, the Bananas and their fellow teams will find out if they can fill NFL and college football stadiums.
The Bananas’ 2025 schedule is a clear indication of how big a draw the team is. When the club went to MLB stadiums in 2024, it was always for one game. In 2025, the MLB ballpark visits will be over two nights, doubling the number of available tickets.
Other than the Bananas long-time home base of Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Ga., there is not one MiLB ballpark on the Bananas 2025 schedule. Instead, there are 18 MLB ballparks, two NFL stadiums and Clemson’s 81,000-seat football stadium.
The Party Animals, Firefighters and Tailgaters will serve as a headliners for trips to MiLB ballparks on dates that will often correspond to Bananas trips to MLB ballparks.
If the Bananas can sell out this schedule in 2025, they’ll go from outdrawing all MiLB teams to drawing more fans in a season than many MLB teams.
And there’s one more announcement: Savannah Bananas owner Jesse Cole announced that in 2026, there will be the first-ever Banana Ball Championship League with six Banana ball teams playing for a title.
