Reds’ Cody Reed Learning Power Of Patience
Someday Reds lefthander Cody Reed will get to pitch again.
Reed was scheduled to make his 2016 debut for Triple-A Louisville against Toledo on Friday, April 8. The game was snowed out, so Reed was pushed back to make his debut on April 9. He was a little bit in awe of the postponement.
I can honestly say… This is the the first time I’ve had a game get cancelled cause of snow..

The weather got no better on Saturday, April 9, so Reed was pushed back to April 10’s doubleheader against the MudHens.
The weather didn’t improve. The doubleheader was postponed.
Mother Nature just doesn’t want me to pitch.. Ever… #3snowdays

No problem, Reed was pushed back to make his debut in the series opener at Columbus on Monday. Finally, three days after his scheduled debut, Reed would get to make his first start. Well, no he wouldn’t. This time it was rain that ruined his season debut.
And rain rain rain… 🌧🌧🌧🌧

Good news. The forecast for today in Columbus, Ohio, shows a zero percent chance of rain. But the Reds are scheduled to have Jon Moscot make an injury rehab appearance, so Reed’s start has been pushed back one more time to Wednesday, which is when he would have been scheduled to make his second start if not for the weather.
It’s not just Reed that is having to wait. The entire Louisville team is going a little stir crazy. It’s five days into the season and the Bats are currently 0-1.
Do the baseball gods ever want the @LouisvilleBats to play? ???
