Sal Frelick, OF, Brewers: Frelick hit his first career home run in the Brewers’ 3-2 win over the Reds on Monday. The 2021 first-round pick got a 97 mph cutter on the low and inside corner from Graham Ashcraft and pulled it 384 feet into the right field stands. The solo shot tied the score at 2-2 and set the stage for Christian Yelich’s walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.

Jordan Westburg, 2B, Orioles: Westburg hit his first career home run in the Orioles’ 3-2 win over the Phillies. Westburg’s solo homer off Cristopher Sanchez traveled 356 feet the other way and landed just inside the right field foul pole to open the scoring and give the O’s an early 1-0 lead.

Elly De La Cruz, SS, Reds: De La Cruz launched a titanic two-run homer to center for the Reds’ only runs in their loss to the Brewers. De La Cruz’s homer off Colin Rea traveled 456 feet and cleared the stands in center field, landing on an elevated concourse on the very back edge of American Family Field. He finished 1-for-4 with his two-run homer and a strikeout.

Josh Jung, 3B, Rangers: Jung went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored in the Rangers’ 10-9 loss to the Astros. Jung’s two-run blast off Brandon Bielak in the first inning was his 20th home run of the season, most among American League rookies.
