Prospect Preview: March 10
Spring training games might not mean anything as far as the regular season is concerned, but it is a great time for watching prospects. That’s especially true in the early going. Lineups in the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues are littered with players who rank among our Top 30 prospect lists for each team. To help keep you updated, we’ll run down each game’s lineup every morning and highlight the prospects in each team’s starting nine in the Prospect Preview.
We’ll update the Cactus League and night Grapefruit League games as the lineups are announced.
Game of the Day: Today’s pick is the White Sox against the Royals in Surprise. Righthander Carson Fulmer, the No. 8 overall pick in last year’s draft out of Vanderbilt, will make his second start of the spring. He got roughed up a bit his first time out, but if you’re a White Sox fan, this is must-see TV. Fulmer advanced to high Class A in his pro debut, and could start this year at Double-A with a shot at the majors sometime in 2016.
