New York-Penn League All-Star Game Rosters

Salem (Red Sox) outfielder Tyler Hill, the New York-Penn League leader in batting, on-base percentage and OPS, leads the North team selections for the all-star game on Aug. 16 at Dutchess Stadium, Hudson Valley’s home park.

Hudson Valley lefthander Travis Ott, who has allowed one earned run in 41 2/3 innings, is likely to get the start at his home park for the North side. 2016 draft picks Austin Athmann (Connecticut/Tigers), Nathaniel Lowe (Hudson Valley/Rays), Nate Mondou (Vermont/Athletics) and Nick Banks (Auburn/Nationals) are other notable North all-stars.

For the South squad, Brooklyn’s Harol Gonzalez (Mets) leads the circuit with 67 strikeouts in 56 innings, and he’s joined by Cyclones teammate and former Florida slugger Peter Alonso. Lefthander Juan Hillman (Mahoning Valley/Indians) is 3-1, 2.55. 2016 draft picks include second-rounder Nick Solak (Staten Island/Yankees), with more walks than strikeouts; Fifth-rounder Colby Woodmansee from Arizona State (Brooklyn/Mets), and UCSB’s Andrew Calica (Mahoning Valley/Indians).
