Nationals Announce Area Code Tryout Dates
The Washington Nationals, whose 2015 team consisted of All-Area Code Team players such as Bo Bichette (Lakewood High, St. Petersburg, Fla.) and Jesus Luzardo (Stoneman Douglas High, Pompano Beach, Fla.) as well as the 2015 Area Code Baseball home run derby winner Max Guzman (Calvary Christian Academy, Miami), have announced their 2016 tryout schedule.
The Nationals will be hosting the top players from the Southeast at their tryouts and at the Area Code Games. The top players will be invited to play in the five-day Area Code Baseball Games from Aug. 6-10 at Blair Field in Long Beach. The top underclass prospects from the Southeast—along with athletes from the Northeast—will play in the Area Code Baseball Underclass Games on Aug. 10-12.
Washington Nationals 2016 Area Code Games tryout dates:
Tuesday, June 21: at Space Coast Stadium (Melbourne, Fla.) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tuesday, June 28: at Vanderbilt University (Nashville) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
