Mike Trout, Dallas Keuchel Highlight April Award Winners
Mike Trout shows no signs of slowing down, while Dallas Keuchel is returning to his Cy Young form.

Trout was named the American League Player of the Month and Keuchel was named the AL Pitcher of the Month on Wednesday when Major League Baseball announced it’s monthly awards for April. Ryan Zimmerman and Ivan Nova were their counterpart award winners in the National League.
Trout, the reigning AL MVP and Baseball America Player of the Year, hit .364 (36-for-99) with 18 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 18 RBI and five stolen bases. Trout finished the month first in the AL in hits, extra-base hits (18) and batting average and tied for first in doubles and triples. It his fourth career Player of the Month award.
Keuchel, who suffered through a 9-12, 4.55 campaign last season after winning the 2015 AL Cy Young, went 5-0, 1.21 in April to win his fourth career Pitcher of the Month award. He struck out 36 over 44.2 innings and led the majors in wins and innings pitched, finished third in ERA and fourth in strikeouts.
Aaron Judge and Antonio Senzatela won the AL and NL Rookie of the Month, respectively. Judge was the Yankees’ No. 6 prospect entering the season and Senzatela was the Rockies’ No. 10 prospect.
