International Player of the Day—Isaac Miranda, Mexico
Leading Mexico on the mound in its big win over Venezuela to keep its Little League World Series championship hopes alive was Isaac Miranda. On the hill for the second time in Williamsport, Isaac led the way wth 4.1 scoreless innings and six strikeouts. Coupled with Erick Vazquez’s 1.2 spotless frames, Mexico became the first team to pitch three consecutive shutouts in the Little League World Series since 2002. Mexico is back in action on Thursday.
