Job Posting: Baseball America Draft/Prospect Writer
BASEBALL AMERICA DRAFT/PROSPECT WRITER
Baseball America has an immediate opening for an entry level writer to help with our prospect and draft coverage. The position involves helping compile the information that goes into Baseball America’s draft and prospect rankings as well as writing team Top 30 Prospects lists, draft scouting reports and a variety of other content for Baseball America magazine and BaseballAmerica.com throughout the year.
The ideal fit for this position is someone who loves baseball and can’t think of a better place to spend a day than at a game. The candidate should have an insatiable desire to learn about all aspects of player development and an ability to explain what they learn to readers. The Baseball America draft and prospect teams rely on communication and collaboration, so the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
Experience working in or around baseball is an asset but is not required. Spanish language skills, while not required, are also an excellent asset.
This is a full-time position based out of our office in Durham, N.C. Apply by sending a résumé and an explanation of why you would be a good fit for our prospect and draft teams to jobs@baseballamerica.com.
