Four Players Set To Attend MLB Draft

Four of the top amateur players in the country will attend the first round of the draft, per an announcement from Major League Baseball.
Texas prep third baseman Brett Baty, Georgia high school righthander Daniel Espino, North Carolina high school righthander Brennan Malone and Texas junior college righthander Jackson Rutledge will all be in attendance at MLB Network’s Studio 42 for the first round on June 3.
Rutledge ranks No. 14 on the BA Top 500 Draft Prospects list, Baty is No. 15, Malone is No. 18 and Espino is No. 25. All are projected to be first-round picks.
A total of 43 players have attended the draft since it first began being televised in 2009. Past attendees have included Mike Trout (2009), Carlos Correa (2012) and Aaron Judge (2013).
The draft begins at 7 p.m. ET on June 3 with the first round through the supplemental second round. Rounds 3-10 will take place on June 4 beginning at 1 p.m. ET, and rounds 11-40 will take place on June 5 starting at noon ET.
