Final NCAA Baseball Top 25 Rankings Of 2021
Mississippi State ascended to the top of college baseball Wednesday night, routing Vanderbilt in the winner-take-all Game 3 of the 2021 College World Series finals.
Today, Mississippi State also ascends to the top spot in Baseball America’s Top 25 rankings.
The Bulldogs went 10-3 in the NCAA Tournament, sweeping through the Starkville Regional, beating Notre Dame in the Starkville Super Regional and then going 5-2 in Omaha, beating Texas, Virginia and Vanderbilt along the way.

The national championship is the first in program history for Mississippi State. Its previous best finish in the Top 25 was No. 2, which it did in 2013, when it lost in the CWS finals to UCLA.
Arkansas spent most of the regular season ranked No. 1, holding the top spot for 14 straight weeks going into the NCAA Tournament. But North Carolina State upset the Razorbacks in super regionals and they finish the year No. 5.
Three teams enter the rankings after being previously unranked prior to the NCAA Tournament: Virginia, Dallas Baptist and South Florida.
