While dynasty has historically been the focus of Baseball America’s fantasy baseball content, both Geoff Pontes and Dylan White are active redraft players who enjoy the season-long game as much as multi-year dynasty leagues.
In redraft, for those that are unaware, you draft a new team from scratch each season and compete against your league over the course of the season. There’s several scoring formats for fantasy from standard roto, head-to-head categories, head-to-head points, best ball and a variety of other variations.
We created these rankings below for standard 15-team NFBC style 5×5 roto scoring. When creating the rankings, we factored in NFBC ADP over the last week, as well as high and low picks from the drafts over that period of time. We factored in Dylan’s values, Geoff’s player rankings and current market price to determine the final listing on these rankings.
For those using these outside the NFBC format, you can move down catchers (if your league only requires one active catcher) and closers. In leagues 15 teams or larger with two catcher spots, catching becomes far more scarce and quality offensive performers at those positions matter more.
Overall, our goal is to provide you a roadmap to follow in redraft leagues. Our rankings try and balance current market average draft position with overall value.
These rankings will be updated throughout the offseason.
