College Top 25 (May 23)
A series win against Mississippi, its third straight against a top 10 team, propelled Texas A&M back to the top of the Baseball America Top 25, powered by Louisville Slugger.
This is the second time Texas A&M has been ranked No. 1 this season. It also topped the March 28 edition of the rankings. The Aggies finished the regular season 41-13 and went 13-1 in weekend series.
Following Texas A&M are Mississippi State and Miami, the regular season champions of the Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference, respectively. Florida and Texas Tech, the Big 12 Conference champions, round out the top five.
Louisiana-Lafayette is the lone team to enter the Top 25 this week. The Ragin’ Cajuns captured the Sun Belt Conference regular season title and return to the rankings at No. 24.
Minnesota falls out of the rankings after claiming the Big Ten Conference regular season championship, but going 1-3 last week.
The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with seven teams in the rankings, including six in the top 10. The Atlantic Coast Conference has six teams in the Top 25.
