College Top 25 (April 18)
Miami saw its 12-game winning streak snapped Saturday at Duke, but responded with a victory Sunday to claim its sixth straight weekend series. Following a 4-1 week, the Hurricanes remain atop the Baseball America Top 25 rankings, powered by Louisville Slugger.
Florida and Texas A&M both rise a spot to Nos. 2 and 3 after sweeping Southeastern Conference foes on the road. The Gators swept Arkansas for the first time since 2001, while the Aggies swept Mississippi State at Dudy Noble Field.
Texas Christian and Louisiana State round out the top five. Louisville, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, UC Santa Barbara and Texas Tech follow in the top 10. It is the first appearance in the top 10 this season for both UCSB and Texas Tech.
Three new teams enter the Top 25 this week. Michigan State moves in at No. 23, followed by Louisiana-Lafayette and Coastal Carolina. All three have appeared in the Top 25 earlier this season.
Falling out of the Top 25 are South Alabama, Tulane and Southern Mississippi. All three lost weekend series.
The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with eight representatives, including five in the top 10. The Atlantic Coast Conference has five teams in the rankings.
