The college baseball season may be over, but Mississippi State baseball fans still have something to be proud of.
The Bulldogs led all college programs with 11 players selected in the 2024 MLB Draft, headlined by switch-pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje going No. 15 overall to the Seattle Mariners.
Cijntje, the Bulldogs’ lone first round pick, was joined by righthander Khal Stephen in the second round, righthander Nate Dohm in the third, outfielder Dakota Jordan in the fourth, righthander Brooks Auger in the sixth and righthander Colby Holcombe in the ninth. Mississippi State finished out the draft with five picks on day three (rounds 11-20).
LSU had the second-most players selected with nine. Fellow SEC members Arkansas and Tennessee tied with Florida State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State with eight draftees.
