Florida remains atop Baseball America’s Top 25, powered by Louisville Slugger, after it won its 19th straight regular-season series, a streak that dates to last year.
With a series win against rival Georgia, the Gators clinched their second straight Southeastern Conference regular season title. Florida has now been ranked No. 1 for 11 weeks this season.
Oregon State, the only other team this season to rank No. 1, moves up to No. 2 after winning a key Pac-12 Conference series against Stanford, which fell to No. 3. Mississippi and Arkansas round out the top five.
Two teams this week enter the Top 25. Houston returns to the rankings at No. 20 after a one-week absence. South Carolina makes its 2018 debut in the Top 25 at No. 23.
Dropping out of the Top 25 are South Florida and Connecticut.
The SEC leads all conferences with seven teams in the Top 25. The ACC follows with five representatives.
The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are through May 13.
