Brewers, Yankees Play To Tie

LONG BEACH—The Brewers scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to tie the Yankees 4-4 at the Area Code Games.
Righthander Joe Lancellotti (William Penn Charter, Philadelphia) started for the Yankees and finished with six strikeouts in four innings. His said his teammates wanted to show off the talent of the Northeast team and prove they belong in the Games.
Righthander Kyle Hurt (Torrey Pines High, San Diego) started the game for the Brewers and had five strikeouts in three innings. Hurt focused on his off-speed pitches to keep the Yankees’ hitters off-balance and hopes to work on adding velocity to his game.
Canadian Adam Hall (A.B. Lucas Secondary, London, Ontario) kept up his impressive performance and hit a three-run home run in the top of the 5th inning to give the Yankees the lead.
Nick Allen (Francis Parker High, San Diego) of the Brewers continued to wow scouts with his defense, and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and a run.
