Brewers Underclassmen Area Code Games Roster

The Brewers unveiled their 2016 Underclass Area Code Team to represent Southern California and the Four Corner states at the Area Code Baseball Underclass Games in Cerritos and Long Beach, Calif. on Aug. 10-12.

Major League teams scout the Underclass Games to establish background on prospects that could develop into draft talents down the line, and the event is well-attended by prominent college baseball coaching staffs.

Prominent prospects for 2017 that participated in last year’s Area Code Underclass Games include Conner Uselton, Mitchell Stone, Royce Lewis, Brandon McCabe and Alex Scherff.

Branden Boissiere and Emilio Rosas are a couple players to watch. Boissiere played up on the Yankees Scout Team at the 2015 Arizona Fall Classic, fitting in with a team that included No. 1 overall pick Mickey Moniak. Rosas showed intriguing infield actions as a sophomore for Mater Dei at the National High School Invitational this spring.
