Royals Bump Blake Mitchell To High-A

After an outstanding turn at Low-A, the Royals have moved their top catching prospect to the next level. Blake Mitchell, the team’s 2023 first-rounder, showed plenty of power and patience at Low-A Columbia, where he hit .238/.376/.439 with 16 doubles, 18 home runs and 79 walks in 106 games. His strikeout rate of 30% is concerning, but there’s still plenty to like from the 20-year-old.
