Rangers’ Jack Leiter’s MLB Struggles Continue

In his fifth MLB start, Jack Leiter worked into the sixth inning for the first time. But he was pulled in the sixth with a run in and two runners in scoring position with no outs. Both those runs scored, which meant Leiter allowed five runs in five innings. It’s a measure of how difficult his MLB time has been that this actually lowered his ERA to 11.78. Leiter walked no one and struck out two. He’s allowed more hits than innings pitched in all five MLB starts, and MLB hitters are hitting .360/.427/.593 against him.
