Marlins’ Dillon Head Out For The Season

New Marlins prospect Dillon Head needs surgery on his hip and will miss the rest of the season, as first reported by MLB’s Christina De Nicola. The procedure, called femoral acetabular impingement surgery, will happen this coming Friday and will keep him out the rest of the year. He is expected to recover in time for spring training. Head, 19, was the Padres’ first-round selection in the 2023 draft. He was traded to the Marlins this past May as part of a four-player package that brought Luis Arraez to San Diego.
