Jack Penney Homers Twice In FSL Title Game

The Palm Beach Cardinals won the Florida State League title, but Lakeland Flying Tigers third baseman Jack Penney did everything he could to try to prevent it. The Tigers’ fifth-round pick in 2024 out of Notre Dame went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs in the deciding game. He drove in three and scored two of Lakeland’s four runs. Although they won’t show up on his official stat line going forward, Wednesday’s pair of home runs were the first of his pro career.
