Jac Caglianone Strikes Out Twice In Arizona Fall League Debut — College Baseball, MLB Draft, Prospects

It’s highly unusual for recent first-round picks to participate in the Fall League, so Royals 2024 first-rounder Jac Caglianone was one of the headliners this year. In Monday’s AFL opening contest between the Mesa Solar Sox and the Surprise Saguaros, he batted cleanup and played first base. Caglianone, however, did little in the way of damage in his four at bats, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Neither of Caglianone’s balls in play left the infield, as he grounded out into a pair of outs. Renowned for his double-plus raw power but maligned by many for his lack of approach, Caglianone will get valuable experience this fall as he looks to hit the ground running in 2025.
