Bazzana Hits Grand Slam For First Professional Homer

The No. 1 pick in this year’s draft, Travis Bazzana connected for his first professional home run on Wednesday. Bazzana came to the plate with the bases loaded in the fifth and pulled a 3-2 pitch to right field for a grand slam, the Australian’s first professional home run. Bazzana went 2-for-4 with two walks, three runs and a stolen base in the Captains 17-5 win over Beloit. Three games into his professional career, Bazzana is off to a hot start.
