Angels Call Up Caden Dana From Double-A

The Angels are calling up their No. 1 prospect Caden Dana from Double-A Rocket City to make his major league debut on Sunday. The 6-foot-4 righthander led the Southern League with 147 strikeouts, 135.2 innings and a .184 opponent average while ranking second in the league with a 2.52 ERA. The Angels drafted Dana in the 11th round in 2022 out of high school in New Jersey and went way over slot to sign him for nearly $1.5 million. At age 20, Dana was one of the youngest pitchers at Double-A this season.
