Bayron Lora Signs With The Rangers, With Video From Tricky League
Bayron Lora officially signed his contract yesterday with the Rangers, with the 16-year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic getting a $3.9 million signing bonus.
At 6-foot-4, Lora is a strong, physical corner outfielder with the best raw power in the 2019 international signing class. He had been playing for the Rangers on their team in the Tricky League, an unofficial league primarily for 2019 signings that finished on Friday, with teams supplementing their rosters with unsigned players, which technically Lora was, until yesterday.
Here’s video from when I went to watch Lora this month in the Tricky League, plus a home run he hit in a Dominican Prospect League game as an amateur.
