Question: Does any #MLB team have a better minors record across their affiliates than #Rays have? Seems unlikely on surface?
Answer: The Yankees up-and-down regular season at the major league level has frustrated many of the team’s fans, even if the club is currently five games above .500 at 39-34.
At the minor league level, the Yankees stand at the top of the standings. Yes, the Rays have had a very good start to the minor league season, but the Yankees have been a tick better. That’s true both when it comes to wins and losses (.665 vs. .615) and when it comes to run differential (+277 to +239).
As of June 23, here are the overall MiLB organization standings.
Organization | W | L | PCT | Runs Scored |
Runs Allowed |
Run Differential |
Yankees | 113 | 57 | .665 | 990 | 713 | 277 |
Rays | 104 | 65 | .615 | 949 | 710 | 239 |

The Nationals climbing up to the third-worst mark is actually a significant step forward. An awful start for Fredericksburg had the Nationals easily sitting at the bottom of the overall org standings a month ago. But after losing its first 15 games and being 1-17 three weeks into the season, Fredericksburg is 13-13 over its past 26 games.
