Arizona State, Long Beach State and Vanderbilt Have Most Big Leaguers
Arizona State, Long Beach State and Vanderbilt share the title of being the colleges with the most active big leaguers on Opening Day of the 2018 season. All three schools had eight players drafted or signed out of their school.
Arkansas, Cal State Fullerton, LSU, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, UCLA and Virginia all have seven big leaguers. Another seven schools had at least five alums on big league rosters.
This only counts the player’s final school, so players who transferred from another college, including junior colleges, are not counted for their previous school.
