American League All-Star Game Voting
Yankees rookie Aaron Judge, the major league leader in homers with 18, has surpassed Mike Trout as the American League’s top vote-getter, MLB said Tuesday.
At third base, the Twins’ Miguel Sanó has received 638,952 votes to surpass last week’s leader Manny Machado of the Orioles (520,116). If voted in, Sano would be the first Twins third baseman to start an All-Star Game since Harmon Killebrew was voted in in 1970.
Others leaders include: first baseman Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers (475,826); shortstop Francisco Lindor of the Indians (842,166); catcher Salvador Perez of the Royals (692,867); and designated hitter Nelson Cruz of the Seattle Mariners (615,955).
