Pitchers hitting 100 mph is becoming more and more common in baseball.
We see it in the major leagues, the minor leagues and even in college and prep baseball. It’s something that, 20 years ago, seemed unattainable, but now throwing 100 has become so common that many have begun to ask: What’s next?
Will a pitcher one day hit 107 mph or higher? Is that even physically possible?

Below is listed every prospect-eligible player to throw a pitch at least 100 mph in the minor leagues this season. Eliminated from consideration are players who pitched in the minors but have exhausted their rookie eligibility per Baseball America standards (50 IP or 30 appearances).
So, for example, Paul Skenes is not included even though he did throw 100+ mph multiple times during his early-season stint in the minor leagues.
