The summer circuit is here. With its arrival, so is a new ranking of the top 100 players in the 2024 class as teams bear down on them for the 2024 MLB Draft.

At this time last year, the 2023 class had two players—outfielders Max Clark and Walker Jenkins—who separated themselves from the pack as the top high school players in the country.

Heading into the summer, the top of the 2024 class isn’t as clear cut, with several players in consideration for the No. 1 spot. For now, the top of the list is led by shortstop Konnor Griffin, a dynamic athlete who offers an exciting mix of tools and high-end game performance with a chance to play a premium position and hit in the middle of a lineup.

Griffin is committed to LSU and leads a potential powerhouse recruiting class for the Tigers, who have three of the top 10 players committed and five in the top 25. Derek Curiel, a center fielder who has a sweet swing and smooth actions on both sides of the ball, and catcher Cade Arrambide, a standout defender with big power, are two other LSU commits ranked in the top 10.

Overall, LSU has nine commits in the Top 100, tied with Tennessee for the most of any school. Tennessee’s class features a good blend of pitching (led by righthanders Tegan Kuhns and Anson Seibert) and players in the middle of the diamond. Florida State has six recruits committed from the Top 100 and Vanderbilt has five, with pitching leading the way for both programs. Several schools have four players in the Top 100 committed to their programs, most notably Mississippi, which has four in the top 50 led by shortstop Owen Paino.

Of the Top 100 players, 95 have college commitments, though three players at the top of the list are still uncommitted.

The usual cradles of talent are prominent within the Top 100. Florida high schools have the most players (19) on the list, followed by California (14), Georgia (11) and Texas (10).
