The Mariners’ rebuild landed a year early in 2021. Now the task is taking the next step to end the longest playoff drought in North American professional sports.
Seattle is primed to reap the fruits of the rebuilding process they began after the 2018 season. The team’s top two prospects, Julio Rodriguez and righthanded pitcher George Kirby, each have a case as the best position player prospect and pitching prospect in the minors, respectively, and are in position to make their major league debuts in 2022 after finishing last year in Double-A.
Today, we unveil the 10 best prospects in the Mariners system as it enters 2022.
We’ll be hosting our Mariners chat at 3 p.m. ET. You can submit your questions ahead of time here.
