Each year, following the release of our Top 100 prospects, Baseball America ranks the top prospects in baseball by position. You can find our position-by-position rankings here.
Here are the top corner outfield prospects for 2020.
Best Bat: Julio Rodriguez. Rodriguez has yet to show it at higher levels or sustain it over a full season, but his size, strength and approach hold the promise of a perennial .300 hitter who annually reaches 30 or more home runs per season.
Best Glove: Drew Waters. Waters is a pure center fielder who has been forced to a corner by the presence of Cristian Pache. His speed, arm and instincts would make him an excellent defensive outfielder at any position.
Sleeper: Peyton Burdick. The Marlins’ third-round pick from Wright State tore through low Class A Clinton after signing last year. His sound swing and plus power give him the tools to move quickly through the Marlins’ system.
