2020 Pittsburgh Pirates Instructional League Roster
The Pirates’ instructional league group is led by 2020 first-rounder Nick Gonzales, a shortstop out of New Mexico State who was known for his combination of hittability and power. He is joined in Bradenton, Fla., by a group of the team’s youngest talent.
A pack of high-end pitching prospects leads the way, including righthanders Tahnaj Thomas, Brennan Malone, Quinn Priester, Carmen Mlodzinski, Jared Jones and Nick Garcia. Twitchy shortstop Liover Peguero is here too, as are outfielders Calvin Mitchell and Sammy Siani, and high-upside infielder Alexander Mojica.
Each of the team’s six 2020 draftees are here, as are high-end international signings Cristopher Cruz and Yojeiry Osoria.
