Corner Outfield Rankings
In terms of corner outfield standards, this has a chance to be a banner class. The top 10 are all Top 100 prospects with big upsides and proven track records. Eloy Jimenez is a premium prospect at the top, Kyle Tucker isn’t far behind, and Austin Hays and Willie Calhoun have already received a taste of the majors. There is considerable depth as well, with Yusniel Diaz and Chris Shaw just missing out on the Top 100, Blake Rutherford a member of the group last year and Brandon Marsh a sleeper candidate to leap onto the Top 100 next year. Even down into the 20s, you can find players who evaluators put everyday grades on, and there is considerable upside even at the bottom. All that’s missing is one more Top 10 prospect, but more than a few of these players have the potential to get there eventually.
