Inevitably, there are players every year who barely miss the cut when we narrow down the list. These players are all worth monitoring for various reasons and it’s likely some will either reach the big leagues in 2024 or enjoy breakout seasons lower in the minors.

Here are next 10 players to know in the Brewers system beyond their Top 30.

31. Matt Wood, C

Wood has little swing and miss in the zone and he doesn’t chase much, though he lacks power and struggled last year when he reached High-A. If he can drive the ball for more extra-base damage, he could carve out a big league backup role.

32. Filippo Di Turi, SS

Signed out of Venezuela for $1.3 million in 2023, Di Turi hit .282/.414/.354 last season as a 17-year-old in the Dominican Summer League. His eye at the plate and bat-to-ball skills are good, though he will need to develop more power, with fringe-average speed and a plus arm that could have him see time all over the infield.

33. Gregory Barrios, SS

The best defensive shortstop in the organization, Barrios has easy actions, good body control, soft hands and a great internal clock, but he will need to show more offensively after hitting .232/.283/.302 last year year a 19-year-old in Low-A.

34. Patricio Aquino, RHP

With a fastball that can reach the mid 90s and a slider that he leans on heavily, Aquino had a solid season in Low-A Carolina as a starter with a 2.75 ERA, 86 strikeouts and 31 walks in 88.1 innings, projecting as a potential bullpen arm.

35. Freddy Zamora, SS

A second-round pick in 2020, Zamora hit .255/.352/.361 last year in Double-A and showed a good glove at shortstop, but entering his age-25 season, he needs to take a step forward offensively to have a big league role.

36. Jason Woodward, RHP

Good for three starts in 2023 at Florida Gulf Coast before missing the rest of the season due to injury, Woodward still showed enough for the Brewers to draft him in the fourth round after he showed a 91-94 mph fastball and a plus changeup.

37. Jesus Made, SS

One of Milwaukee’s top international signings in 2024, Made is a 16-year-old switch-hitter with big power potential from both sides of the plate thanks to his bat speed and strength projection, with a future defensive home either at shortstop or third base.

38. Luis Peña, SS

Another top international signing for the Brewers in 2024, Peña has a compact frame (5-foot-11, 165 pounds) with a lot of tools, including 70 speed, a 60 arm and good bat speed to drive the ball well from the right side.

39. Joandrew Peña, SS

Signed out of Venezuela in 2024, Peña’s righthanded hitting ability is advanced for a 17-year-old, and with his lanky 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame, there’s a lot more strength projection to grow into power as he fills out.

40. Quinton Low, RHP/1B

A two-way player at 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, Low is a raw hitter with big lefthanded power and a power arm from the right side, sitting in the mid-90s and reaching 98 mph. He struck out 47 batters in 32.2 innings last year as a 20-year-old in Low-A Carolina and has a chance to make the big leagues as a reliever, but he will need to throw a lot more strikes after issuing 29 walks, nearly a walk per inning.
