View Draft Report
Fischer opened eyes at the Area Code Games last summer, when he showed plus arm speed and a lithe, projectable 6-foot-3, 172-pound frame. Fischer has an extremely long arm action and a deep spine tilt to his glove side. Scouts can dream on his stuff; his fastball projects as a plus pitch; he already shows low 90s velocity and could some day throw in the upper 90s. His slider flashes plus with low 80s velocity and powerful slurvy break. His stuff lacks consistency and he can be wild at times, but Fischer has elite projection if he's able to get stronger and improve his consistency. He is committed to Texas A&M, where he could be a part of the next wave of flame-throwing Aggies.
