Drafted in the 14th round (434th overall) by the Texas Rangers in 2017 (signed for $150,000).
View Draft Report
Former Clemson coach Jack Leggett redshirted Eubanks as a freshman, and Eubanks got nearly 56 innings that summer in the Coastal Plain League. New coach Monte Lee got the 6-foot-2, 180 pounder into the rotation for part of the 2016 season and all of 2017, when Eubanks pounded the zone consistently for the Tigers. His 1.33 walks per nine innings ratio ranked 29th in the country entering regional play, and command of his 88-91 mph fastball, touching higher, and the pitch has some natural life. His cutter is his go-to breaking ball and he can get swings and misses with an average changeup. Eubanks' stuff could play up in a relief role, but he pounds the zone enough to be a potential fifth starter.
