Gardner doesn't really have a plus tool, but scouts love him because he's a hard-nosed, well-rounded baseball player who also has very few glaring weaknesses. Gardner hit .305/.395/.485 this year with 26 walks and 31 strikeouts in 200 at-bats. Gardner likely ends up as a fourth outfielder, but he has survival skills in center field with potentially fringe-average hit, run and defensive tools.
