Dulin's father Tim is well known to scouts, as he helps run Dulin's Dodgers, a top travel-ball program out of the Memphis area. He's also a hitting coach and played both at Memphis and in the Orioles system. Dalton has grown up around the game and has learned from players his father has worked with. Scouts respect the 5-foot-9, 165-pounder's high motor and above-average speed. Dulin has good strength for his size and gets the most out of his tools, but he is limited physically. He's a solid hitter but not a pure hitter, and his approach is more suited for someone with more power. A high school shortstop, his defensive skills are best suited for second base. He's signed to Mississippi and is expected to end up as a middle infielder there rather than signing.
