Drafted in the 7th round (212th overall) by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015 (signed for $170,000).

Bergen broke out last year in the NCAA tournament, as he won two games in the Tallahassee Regional, earning Most Outstanding Player honors, and helping Kennesaw State reach super regionals in their first-ever tournament appearance. He followed that up with a solid showing in the Cape Cod League, where he was named to the all-star team. Bergen pitches primarily off his fastball, pounding the zone with the 88-92 mph offering. His slider is more like a cutter and he'll also show a changeup. Bergen has some starter traits and might be able to fit at the back of a rotation, but he'll likely end up in the bullpen as a professional.
