Listed at 6-foot-1, 214 pounds, Williams does a good job of locating is 93-94 mph fastball that will bump a 96, but it's relatively straight and not a pitch that misses bats. For strikeouts, Williams relies on a 12-to-6 curveball that flashes average and an improving slider that flashes average when he gets extension and finishes it. Williams served as Missouri's closer, but doesn't have the stuff to close in pro ball. A creative team may, however, look at his athleticism and see if Williams can start. He could benefit from adding a little deception to his delivery, as right now hitters set the ball a long time due to his long takeaway.
