Schuh arrived at UCLA as a walk-on for the football team but has turned himself into a baseball prospect under John Savage's expert tutelage. Scouts love his athletic, physical 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame and his fresh arm. He has a long takeaway and good extension out front in his high three-quarters delivery, making his 86-91 fastball tough to pick up. It also has some late life and sink, and scouts think he could add more velocity as he matures. Schuh has shown the ability to throw his 77-81 slurve for a strike for a chase pitch, generating swing-and-misses against lefthanded hitters. Schuh's two-pitch repertoire makes him profile as a lefty reliever, but coaches rave about his work ethic and aptitude, suggesting he has a chance to reach his ceiling.
