Brosher is the rare right/right high school first baseman who might have a bright future in pro ball based on his double-plus raw power. A willingness to take up catcher certainly doesn't hurt, either. Selected in the 36th round of the 2013 draft, Brosher signed for $167,500 to forego an Oral Roberts commitment. He crushed four home runs in seven games at Rookie-level Kingsport in 2014 before breaking his right ankle in a freak dugout accident and missing the rest of the season. He has shown enough barrel control to profile as perhaps a fringe-average hitter. Brosher won't be the most agile defender behind the plate, but he has plus arm strength and adequate receiving potential. His arm stroke is too long and his footwork too slow at this stage to reliably retire opposing basestealers, so a return to Kingsport is possible in 2015.
